Oh no! The time has come you have submitted your applications to universities and you are now anxiously waiting to hear back on your offers of admission. I know this can be a time of anxiety and excitement! However, you must remember that most of the offers that are going out to students are conditional offers of admission.
What is a conditional offer?
When receiving your offers of admissions it is likely you will see that it is a conditional offer. This means that you must meet the academic admission requirements stated on your Offer of Admission by June 30th, unless otherwise stated in your Offer of Admission.
Conditions may include:
- Completing your high school or college diploma
- Achieving a required overall average
- Passing prerequisite courses with the required grades
- Submitting final and officially certified academic transcripts
These conditions may vary depending on program! Make sure to check out yours!
What can happen if the conditions aren’t met?
If your conditions aren’t met Ryerson has the ability to revoke your Offer of Admission. However, if the GPA requirement is not exactly met there is some wiggle room depending on the program and competitiveness. You may also receive an alternative offer to another program if some requirements aren’t met.
What should you do?
- Be sure to check out your offers
- Know your conditions
- Ensure your conditions are met- Study hard!
- ACCEPT your offer to TRSM by the deadline!
I highly encourage all of you who applied to TRSM and got accepted to accept your offer! You won’t regret it! Find out more information about Ryerson’s Ted Rogers School of Management!
