The start of a new academic year is always an exciting time. There are books to buy, classes to attend, schedules to negotiate and prizes to win. You read that right. The TRSM Business Career Hub will be hosting our first ever Week of Welcome. Starting September 21st, the Biz Hub will be taking over the 8th floor of TRSM with events, contest, and prizes. Be sure to drop by for some of the following great events:

Monday: Come out for a Meet & Greet starting at 11:00am. Be sure to say “Hi” to your program specific consultant. We will be here throughout the day. Business Technology Management students, I’m expecting to see you there.

Tuesday: There will a bunch of industry specific information sessions. Also, be sure to drop by and get your resume reviewed or check out other great free services like the mock interview platform.

Wednesday-Friday: Make sure you dress your best because we are providing free, professional LinkedIn photo sessions. You can finally stop using that photo of you at your aunt/uncles/friend’s wedding. You know the one where you cropped out your date. All fuzzy and weird looking.

Thursday: Can’t come to campus, no problem. We are hosting the “Week of Welcome” Twitter chat. Starting at noon you can ask a Career Consultant any question using the magic of the social media. Find out how the Biz Hub can help you from students who have worked with us in the past.

Friday: Put everything you have learned at the “TRSM’s Best Networker” event.

All this and prizes, too? You could enter to win a $500 gift card just by attending any five of the weeks’ events. In addition, chances to win $50 gift cards just be liking us on Facebook or following us on Twitter and Instagram.

Also, we have a new webpage where you can access great information on upcoming events, the Top 200 program, and a bunch of other stuff. And you are always invited to just drop by our offices at TRS 2-148 anytime with any questions you might have.

So WELCOME BACK! We are all looking forward to meeting you. It’s going to be a great year. So much stuff to do.
